Michelle Barr
A current Scottish national team player, Michelle was selected to play for the Scottish full national team at the age of 16 and has represented her country 85 times over the past 10 years.
She has an extensive playing background all over Europe and the U.S. While in Scotland, she played with Scottish champions Cumbernauld Ladies, winning every domestic honor. Barr played in England for Doncaster Belles and Leeds for two years. From 2001-2004, she played in the Icelandic women's Premier League for IBV, the league runners up for three years and the Icelandic Cup holders in 2004. She also played in the U.S. for W-1 teams, including the Miami Gliders and this past summer with Vermont Voltage.
Prior to coming to Hanover, Barr coached with the Scottish Football Association Regional Development program. She coached with Professional Clubs: Celtic FC and Falkirk with their youth programs and also spent a summer as U-18 coach for premier club IBV in Iceland.
She holds levels 1, 2 and 3 on the Children and Youth pathway and is currently part of the Children's License program. Barr received an Higher National Certificate in sports coaching and developement from Falkirk College in 2001.
